I have replaced the foam seal strips on my 2004 TD5 90 CSW but with this driving rain water is making its way past the seals and into the landy. I am (in the summer) going to replace the seals with the older rubber ones but does anyone know if its possible to get the blanking plates (the same as those fitted to models with air conditioning) - Paddocks and Craddocks have drawn a blank... (excuse the pun)

My TD5 had air con (I say had because I took it out and flogged it on eBay to a bloke in Tanzania) but also has the opening vents. If they still wont seal then get some silicone and glue the bastards shut. They'll never leak again. I never use them anyway but mine dont leak for the moment so I'll leave well alone. Newer Defenders dont have them cut out of the bulkhead probably because LR realised that they always leak when the seal perish.

Thanks Guys - I am going to try Grahams suggestion and Rimmers and Duckworths before sealing them up - they are usefull in the summer...
