Hi there,

My shiny new rear step arrived today at work the question is does anyone know what size bolts i need i assume it simply bolts onto cross member or rear bumper?

I have enclosed two pics to show what i have got and also the back of my defender, i am at work and car is at home so i can't look.

Any advice greatly received.

Many thanks

Nick

Does that not fold up/down? Not seen one like that b4. I see grazed kneecaps ahead...

Oh..any bolts that fit thru the holes i'd imagine as you may need to drill your x-member..thus allowing water in and rust to develop. Good buy.

Sell the shiny new step and get a proper folding up one.

I don't know what you tow but you will restrict trailer manoeuveability with a fixed step.

and

As Storm said you will at some point catch your leg on it ;)

Damn not such a good buy then, wanted a fixed one due to an ancient labrador struggling to get in and out the back and thought a wide fix step may help him.

poor dog.

The fold up step is nicely rounded too so less likely to scrape skin off.

I'd make up a ramp for the dog to walk up if he's that doddery and or you cant lift him.:(
