can anyone help me with a little problem .I have a 2007 defender hardtop county and i want to change the gear knob to one i have made out of cow horn . but it looks like the gear leaver is all in one . can it be done without destroying the original ?

It's a bit new for all us poor folk on here.
Why don't you contact a main dealer and ask if you can buy just the knob. If they say yes then at least you know that it comes off.

You will find that you either screws it off, or you pulls it off.

Either way it's a tight fit!
