Defender 90 cubby box - extra small

Hi
My partner's recently converted his old Petrol V8 Defender 90 to diesel and as a result the transmission box is positioned nearer to the driver than as standard.

This only leaves around 14" or so for a centre cubby box. Are there any out there that would fit, eg without cup holder section? Or if not do you know a company that makes them to order?

Whilst I'm sure he's capable of making his own, I'm looking for this as a Christmas pressy.

Maybe not the simplest but I fitted a discovery 3 cubby as I'm running a disco gearbox which sits the gearstick further back
Had to trim it down but wasn't a major job

Do you have any pics during the install? That looks fantastic.

No pics of install but I'll try and get some more pics in the daylight which due to work might be the weekend but here's another couple I've already got


It involves cutting off the lower section including the rear pull out cup holders

If you decided on this kind of thing it's best to get a complete console from a breaker
Paid £60 for mine
