Hi guys, my heater blower isnt working, done all the usual checks i.e wiring & switch in the dash.

i have power at the fan itself, but dead as a dodo, also put power straight to it, nothing.

is there a replacement fan or some sort of repair kit, as im struggling to find a replacement! cheers guys

Post some pics up of yours, I thought they were all the same defender type up to td5 maybe?
I might have a spare one don't know if it works though, you'll have to tell me which wires need 12+ and earth so I can test it.

Struggling to understand why you can't just fit a new motor if yours is knackered? Done the quickest of searches and I believe that RTC4200 is the correct one for your MY.
Easy enough job, replaced mine years ago with an OE replacement motor and it has been fine ever since.

Put a 12v feed to the fan and see if it spins, at that age Id be dismantling the box and fitting new foam.

I’m not saying it isn’t an electrical fault, but mine stopped working completely. I took it out, spun it round by hand and sprayed wd40 in it and it works better than before it broke. That was 6yrs ago. If that doesn’t work, looks like RTC4200 recommended by Litch is readily available.
