HI All - I am looking to replace my high back brown cloth rear seats on my Def 110 SW.
I got hold of a pair of used half leather Discovery 2 3rd row seats (for a reasonable price), which i would like to have installed by doing some form of modification / fabrication / welding, etc.
My specialist though - and rightly so - pointed out that replacing old, but original - seats with the ones from another vehicle, even if perfectly good - will likely create an insurance issue in case of accident (for me) and an issue for him too (liability if he performs the job) in case anyone gets hurt.
Is there any way around this...a) just doing the job, b) doing the job and get it certified, c) abandon the idea and buy some Exmoors for a million pounds...Although I have seen plenty of vehicles with all sort of seats - even front seats not standard LR litterally glued or riveted to the various seat boxes....
Any suggestions?
