Dashboard

Hi, the dashboard has warped around the drivers front window demist vent. Is their any fix for this ?

I think its an 'age' thing, mine USED to be ok, but it too has deformed
by the vent, sort of 'popped' up, I can push it down but it just comes
back up again

Its almost as if its somehow expanded (heat?) & has no where to go but 'up'.

Can't think of a fix either.

I did read a thread about it somewhere, think it boiled down to the heat of the sun after years . A sun visor guard but who can be bothered to do that everytime. and what bloody sun??? It's July fcs

Try talking to some of the car glass replacement companies. One of the problems they face is a ham-fisted windscreen fitter slashing the dashboard as he tries to cut a windscreen out. I've seen some almost miraculous repairs with even the patterning in the vinyl reproduced perfectly. It's now too long ago to remember the company name.
