hi ,hope someone can help...i have had my Freelander diesel td4 for a month, now the ......abs/ hdc/ tc/ brake/ srs/ and engine management light are staying on while i am driving ... and speedo not working.sometimes i have noticed my brake light on dashboard will go off ...and then my speedo starts working ......but the car runs normal and pulls well.....can someone help please.

Sounds like your dash is caput - or the wiring to it. @Skinny Mike might be able to offer words of advice as his dash needed replacing.

You could start by getting the codes read - but the 3 Amigos (ABS/TC/HDC), SRS and MIL are separate systems and unlikely to all go. The only common bit (I think) is the dash.

Did someone call me:)

Hello, yes as @GrumpyGel has pointed out, your dash binnacle (instrument display) is on its way out.
Mine was a very similar situation, except with mine being an auto, it went into limp mode.
First check the two connectors into the back of the display haven't come loose. Very unlikely though.
I got my replacement from fleabay for £30. Just try to get one from about the same year. I stuck a 2003 into my 2002. Works spot on. The only thing of note is your dash will display the replacement packs mileage. Mines been through its m.o.t and they weren't in the slightest bit bothered and the DVLA haven't contacted me.
Taking the display pack out takes about 10 minutes, just remember to disconnect the battery first. Then stick the new one in before reconnecting.

Any more questions, give me a shout ;)

ok,thanks for that...will let you know how i get on.

When the Amigos come on there's only 1 first step - get the codes read - it will tell you what's broke, there's lots of possibilities! However, in your case it is unlikely to be an ABS fault.

i have got the codes b the aa, and they told me it is showing ...abs sensors are down on all four wheels ......but he also told me that is unlikley to happen .

just took car for drive ........and now i have got engine management ,light on as well as the three amigos, very flustrating

It sounds like a data error on the CAN bus. The dash (Ipack) is the exchange for all CAN data. So a fault in the Ipack could conceivably flag codes for all ECUs connected to it on that bus.

thank you for replying ....how do i solve the problem .......do i change the pack ,if so where is it on the dash.. is it behind instrument pannel

The Ipack is the dash assembly. There was a recent Ipack issue on another forum members car. Changing the dash assembly seems to have solved it.

ok, thanks for that... i will look on ebay for one..
The Ipack is a good place to start.
There are other causes for multiple errors. It could be the ABS ECU or a bad wiring harness. It's unlikely that all 4 ABS sensors have failed at the same time. So this would point to an ECU or communication fault.

Make sure you get the same part number as the one fitted to your car already otherwise you could have fuel gauge and electrical issues

hello again just come in after taking the car for a run.....the lights have gone back out ,but engine Managment light,is still on ......... but i know it will probably not last long... i will still get a new Ipack

hi ,again i have fitted [ Ipack dash assembly] and i have still got the same problem....can you tell me what the next step is please ,. sorry to be a pain.

Bit of a can of worms now.
Could be the abs sensors are duff, but more likely the Bosch abs pump ECU has a fault. First try removing the multiplug from the abs unit(front left as you look at the engine) give it a good clean and reconnect.
Best bet would be to connect the car to a T4 reader or similar, that can interogate the separate ECU's and see what that throws up.
