you have to switch on the side lights....the side lights are working?
download this http://www.landy.ee/manuals/electricity/Disco_Elec.Troubleshooting Manual - LRL0077ENG (1997).pdf , (it's for '97 D1 like the one we are speaking here), save it in your computer and open with acrobat or some PDF readrer cos you can go directly to the ''source'' then, go to Circuits - J1 -Interior lamps and if you scroll down and follow down the circuit it's obvious that from C208-14 connected to fuse F8 the feed goes to the switches illumination.... though it's clear that from F8 goes to the RH side lamps too through C204-12 and C211-7

in this manual you have the connector views too so follow the diagram and connectors if you are familiar with these things and want to DIY if not you'll need an electrician

my right headlight and rear light dont work also just noticed now ! low headlight doent work not the high

that's why i asked that the headlights are working normally or not in a previous post and you said yes:oops:.... and you dont have voltage one side of F8 removed with lights switched on at all? .... that's not good, see connector details in that document and check if you have feed at C203-3

I didnt fully understand your question :(, you think it's from the steering switch ?

no cos from the steering switch it splits to both sides headlamps.. i asked that when you removed fuse F8 did you check for voltage both sides of it in the fusebox cavities?

So guys it was a blown fuse after all !! F8 was blown don't know why the meter didn't read this:/ thanks for all your help I really appreciate it :)

 so much work for a blown fuse :).... never mind, i'm glad it's sorted though it means that the extra load of those leds is too much, better feed them through a relay triggered by the stalk

This relay, it's hard work on this site with the mobile hahah
