First time post here.

My wife has a Freelander 2, 2007 (57) plate. She’s decided she’d like to get a DAB radio for it. We don’t really want to install the dab receiver/fm transmitter option, but would rather replace the original radio unit.

We want to retain steering wheel controls and such.

Questions is, is there a later model Freelander unit which will drop in to the hole?

I know I can get all manner of big screen Android bits of kit, or blanking plates, but I’m hoping a later model Freelander had just a unit I can drop in and I can hunt from breakers, or similar.

Apologies if this is something answered elsewhere, but I couldn’t find it.

Many thanks :)

You'll loose those with an aftermarket stereo system.
Oh. They stopped working years ago :)

I think I’m hoping there’s just a later Landrover unit.
You can retrofit the factory DAB setup to that setup relatively easily - not sure if there’s a guide on the freelander 2 owners website

In case I’m being dense, you mean there is a factory fitted dab unit that exists?

Would it have a unit number or something, just so I know what I’m hunting for?

Thanks again and apologies for sounding dense. This isn’t really my area :)
