hi, i´m about to buy a d2 td5 2000 make disco. i have take it to test drive 2 times because the vibration, it vibrates when i hit accelerator floor on over 50mph speeds, when i let the car run freely with gear in it doesnt vibrate?

she has fresh MOT---

CAN YOU LORDS TELL ME THE CAUSE? or a hunt of it?

i have tried the search, but i dont find correct words. language proplem...

see the rev on which it vibrates then rev it up there when stationary...if it'll vibrate aswell then it could be an engine management issue

sorry, forgot to teel you that it doesnt vibrate when stacionary -> if this means when car doesnt move? it does only when it has speed and when i hit it on the floor, the greater speed, the greater vibration... and if lift the pedal it stops?

More likely to be a worn propshaft.

You can climb under the car and wobble the propshafts by hand. Make sure it is in neutral and handbrake is not on.

Cheers.

rubber donut on rear prop? mine did this in my 2001 disco, it went after i changed clutch. but i changed donut on rear prop at same time.. so could of been dual mass flywheel on its way out or donut.. so i don,t no wot fixed it , but start wiv cheaper option first, :)

I had a similar problem on my old disco which had range rover wheels on. I found out they never had the the correct spigot rings on them.

anythings possible but normally i would expect poor dual mass to be worse at idle and as youve stated doesnt do it stationary ,as stated above rubber doughnut ,props would be most likely

news 4 this is , swapped new front prop -> no help, changed rubber donut -> slight change (also the midle part changed) , new spigot 4 range sport wheels -> no change... every bush is in good shape annd tight, noticed litlebit oil in ecu connector...could it been the problem? wheels are ok (run my own shop) when its 120km/h in speed it vibrates bad and no help with lifting the gas or change in neutral, what in the ¤¤¤¤¤ this could be?

Take the props off and get someone to tow you.

This will eliminate the transmission.

You will then see if it is wheel related, which I think it might be.

Have you tried a spare set of wheels and tyres on the vehicle?

yes i have 2 sets of tyres and wheels, i run my own tyre shop and i have checced pigot an d all many times, i has litlebit twisted front dicks i think, because it sometimes make my steering wheel wobbling when i hit the brakes. that could be best thing to try without the probs! i was wonderin, what kind of noise or symptoms make worn cv joint, it has fresh rubber on it and i think it might be damaged cv in somepoint of car life. what to u think?

changed the pin in diff, no change. changed injectorharness, no change. tomorrow i clean the ecu. what in the world it could be? when i drive 120kmh it wont stop, it vibrates and rumbles even if i lift the pedal or change neutral...:mad2:
