Hi all, I plugged my Foxwell NT530 into my D2 resurrection to clear the ABS/TC lights (I forgot to plug the ABS sensor connector back together after doing the driveshaft oil seal):oops:& noticed this stored, see pic, I had previously cleared all the codes so this one has come back just shunting it around on my drive.
Any ideas where to start looking?

You can ignore those codes as long as you dont have cruise ccontrol or if you have it works OK. It's a bug which is common on tools which have OBD2 protocol too by default

Hi Stan, yeah I will ignore the cruise control stuff & after reading SF's comments about bumping about that would make sense as I have to bump over a kerb when shunting it about on the drive.
So I'll take the MAF off, inspect/clean & go from there. Many thanks again.

Ok thanks for that. It does have cruise control but as I've only driven it for the three miles when I picked it up last June, I haven't had a chance to test it (cc).
If it needs a MAF am I correct in thinking the p/no is MHK100620 ?

No they are not but a genuine one should have at least the Siemens/VDO brand on it which doesnt prove 100% it's genuine LR cos it can be just OEM but if no brand on it then it's certainly some unreliable aftermarket
 
Hi SF, I removed the MAF & it looked very clean but just to make sure I sprayed it with some carburettor cleaner (lightly) the blew it the air line again lightly & re-fitted it but it reads zero on idle & when revved. I checked f2 & that's ok so I'll just check for any wiring chaffing & order a new one if I find nothing.:(

I killed my last MAF by blowing air into it, as you did. Clean it with brake cleaner or proper electrical or even a dedicated MAF cleaner, but let it evaporate, rather than blow air through it. The elements are very fine.... Best to get a genuine LR MAF from to be sure it works properly.

Fitted a new MAF today, Siemens VDO jobby, it looks identical apart from the LR p/no has been removed, see pics. It nows gives a reading so I'll see how it runs when I get it on the road eventually.
