D2 TD5 110Ah Battery

Hi all, recently replaced the battery in my D2 TD5, but with the wrong battery it seems

I was sold a 72Ah battery (for petrol version I think) whereas it seems it should have been a 110Ah, everything is ok ............ for now, but I'd rather spend again (or give the eejit that sold me the wrong one the extra money for the 110Ah correct battery)

Have any of you knowledgeable Gentlemen got any suggestions where the best place to buy one would be?

Am thinking of just keeping the 72 to use to charge my model helicopter batteries from and buying a 110 for use in the Discovery.

Costco do Bosch batteries for a good price.

You can get a bosch taxi battery for £50 - I can't remember the exact rating but it was more than capable of doing the job in most landys.

Are you SURE the std spec is for a 110ah battery?? The std for all models including the top of line ES Disco Tdi 300 even autos, is 72ah.

Yes mate it is, well it is according to my handbook anyway, it says under battery type on page 200:

Petrol: Group 24 sealed for life

Diesel: Group 31 sealed for life

Rating:

Petrol 72 amp/hr
Diesel 110 amp/hr

Maybe it says 72 in the parts book too, hence me having the wrong one?

Seems ok, but it's no surprise the old one gave up the ghost if it is 30% less capacity than it should be.
