Hi guys and girls,
I know a lot of you will be thinking, don’t do it!!
I took it off a couple of years ago, as this disco is just a toy really, for the air suspension lovers though, you’ll be pleased to know on my p38 I’ve kept it and refurbed the whole system!.
Right sorry back to the point, I’ve been hearing a funny clicking noise when I get out and shut the door, for ages I’ve been wondering what it is... and today I’ve found that it’s the compressor trying to well do it’s thing, (it’s nackered as this is what gave out on the system years ago)
I’ve already reprogrammed back to non SLS spec,
So the raise button dosent do anything anymore, how ever I would’ve thought this would make the compression inactive aswell?
So I want to remove the compressor but obviously there must still be power getting to it, so I’m wondering how to do this ‘delete’ properly...
as I don’t want to leave anything live down there.
I’m thinking maybe pull the fuse or relay but if there’s a better way I’d rather do that, thanks in advance for your reply’s and hope you all had a good Xmas and do have a good new year

Hi, as long as you are 100% certain the the coil suspension was properly saved in the SLABS ECU there's no technical reason for the compressor/valve block to get any feed so if it gets feed it's some glitch and you can remove everything SLS related without fear, remove the relay too. What diagnostic tool was used for programming?

Hey sierra,
I was gonna message you direct, hope ur well mate you helped my a while back a ace fault, took ages but turned out to be a broken wire, not sure if you remember, but hope your doing good.
And with a nanocom. But I myself have a Hawkeye total,
I was kind of thinking the same thing myself, In the morning should I check the plug for a feed? To the compressor?
As for removing the relay, is it okay to leave the space empty,? Thanks mate

Double check the SLS in the ABS configuration with hawkeye cos with nanocom it can happen to not be saved there only in the BCU then the valves are active. If you hear clicks it's not from the compressor but from the valves, the compressor relay is completely useless in this case you can keep it in the cubby box as spare

Just checked and it was still set to air ! Ahh right I’ve now configured to coil, so shal I see if the noise continues? If it dosent I might just leave it all in place, or do you think best to remove ? Thanks mate
