I had the front offside CV boot and track rod end changed on my Range Rover due to what I believed was a failed CV boot (grease everywhere inside wheel arch) 2 months ago. I checked it a few weeks later and noticed some grease coming from under the small O ring. Phoned garage and took it back in and they advised it was some excess grease but keep an eye it. Just looked today and more grease leaking so will be taking back to garage Monday. I also noticed a slight juddering under braking. Any suggestions what might be the cause, I don't want to get fleeced by the garage?

Get them to check that the grease hasn't been thrown on to the brake disc. If it has then make sure they degrease the disc and fit new pads. Get everything in writing so they know you are aware of the problems they may have caused.

Possible, was the brake shudder there before they did the boot?
Unfortunately I can't recall. My felling is that the judder is a coincidence and the brakes need sorting. There are no other symptoms of failing cv such as clicking when turning. Maybe a badly fitted boot and the clip wasn't tightened correctly.

If they used Sh!tpart the clips are useless. Mine lasted about 6 months and then I had to replace it with a decent clip from the local parts place. They're not expensive.
