hi all, I have just completed my first front cv axle replacements on my 09 freelander 2, on taking it for a test drive I have a shudder when accelerating at low speed and car is pulling to the right, my question is would this have something to do with the wheels now being out of alignment after disconnecting the track rod ends and lower ball joints.

If you didn't alter the threaded adjustment, then everything should go back together in the same place.

The pulling to one side is strange.

Why did you replace the shaft? Did you use a genuine shaft as the replacement? Cheap aftermarket shafts are normally garbage.

The shafts are from Britparts, I have had this annoying clunk for a while now when going over bumps and on full lock, it's been to many garages but no success so I have been replacing parts myself as a process of elimination , steering rack replaced under warranty ( genuine ), struts & wishbones & anti roll bar links are all from ( britparts ), my other thought was sub frame bushes.

Britpart components aren't great anyway, but the shafts I've seen from them are garbage.

Only use genuine or OE shafts, which are probably GKN, looking at the inboard tripod joint.
