Part 2 of Wet Knee Syndrome. I wish Land Rover designing team would address this problem or pain for draining rainwater. My experiment from the picture shown here bad as the solution maybe. But the point of it is to show a possible solution, gravity fed water leaking down through door seal or leaking on your foot, when opening and closing the door. The yellow arrows indicate the points well.
1. Without experiment Wet foot and floor occurs:mad:
2. With an adapted corner section off a cable tidier, the water drains away from over the door, but leaked gravity fed back towards the door seal, foot and floor:doh:.
3. Extend the adapter by two inches over the window seal. Forces the water to leak downwards over the window to the rain gully bellow and out.:D:eek: Hooray. Now I accept my design is odd and maybe vomit inducing or fainting fits may incur. But it seems to work for. Have anybody improved on this yet or open a patent:p So come on Land Rover please put out of our misery when designing.

Simple reason was because my wagon is parked on small slope. Also when on the stopped road or parked, it still finds it way out over the front, because the vehicle sits high in the back.

You'll find that it comes from the inside of your roof channels , They well up when it rains and as soon as you move it rushes to the front an out over your leg :) .
Either study this http://www.landroverweb.com/Pdf-files/Manuals/Land_Rover_Defender_Water_Ingress_Manual.pdf

Seal up your roof , if it still comes in remove your roof lining and seal the top corner where the gap is by your screen/roof joint - did this on mine as water was still coming in ( but less after sealing the roof ) but sealing that corner stopped it all .

I cleaned out the tiny gap under the windscreen hinges and nearly all my leaks disappeared as water was laying in the channel just deep enough to seep into windscreen seal and creep over the air vent seals ,replaced the vent seals with the later type that stick onto the flap itself and hardly leaks at all now but damage has already been done to the bulkhead where the black plastic trim sits on the edge just below the knee guard that covers the heater box on drivers side, may have caught it in time.

Had a look at the manual. Seems I should rename the vehicle the Sieve by the amount of sealant needed.

could be 1 little poxy hole but if you want to do it 1" at a time you'll have a satisfaction of finding the bugger :D
better to just blitz the bastid ;) or you could ware rubber trousers when it rains (or get a dirt bike )
