Cruise control - no steering wheel response

Hi,

I have a problem with the cruise control on my p38. I have checked the vacume pump and rubber pipes and they seem ok. But cruise control still not working.

There always use to be a slight clicking noise when pressing the set button on the steering wheel as if something was engaging, this nologer happens.

Any ideas anyone?

you have pressed the motorway button on the console???

could be a fuse or relay

Have you got steering wheel mounted ICE controls?

If so, do they still work?

Does the horn still work?

A bit expensive and I would check lots of other things first but it could be the spiral cassette.

Do either of the buttons work, ie can you resume a previous setting (don't know whether P38 loses setting when engine is switched off though)
