Any tips for removing the crankshaft pulley bolt on my 2.5 na ! am i right in assuming it is a right hand thread ? ie anticlockwise to loosen it ?

Yes thats right mate, they are ridiculesly tight, I made a tool to hold the pully and used 3/4 drive socket on a T bar with 4ft of pipe on that to remove mine! you might have a bit of luck with an air impact gun, but when I tried it on mine the impact gun would'nt budge it. Good luck with that fella!

anti clockwise to remove and plenty of force, if the engine is out then remove the starter motor and wedge a chisel inbetween in the case and the flywheel at the rear, stick loads of WD40 all over the damn thing anorl.

I was lucky, mine came off with an adjustable spanner  but the damper was a whole different story....

Ratty's right, I did this. There was a big bang but it worked (Take the power electrical lead of the injection pump solenoid first so the engine doen't fire up completely)

Its off , borrowed a 3/4" socket set , sat on the wing and pushed with two feet and it moved a little at first then a b it more etc
