Ranger rover vogue 2003 td6 3 litre 107k
Rr was running and starting ok
Only problem had hot start issue
So was told to change crank sensor
So I did car wood start but wouldn't rev above 1500rpm before getting really lumpy or cutting out
But wood restart straight away
And do same
After that I decided put old one back in same problems as above
Can u fit plug wrong way round as pins are in middle stupid question I know and when I removed first time sensor was only hand tight
Seems a bit strange as that's the only part I have touched diagnostics at garage says low fuel pressure which to me relates to lp pump which was changed which now they think is faulty
To me plug is probably wrong way round or position of sensor is not correct

I'm being sent a replacement lp pump
Had covers off no signs of an yleeks as is all bone dry under covers checked on start up and whilst running no obvious leeks
Any ideas

Is this a common rail injection car? I'm guessing it is, if so, low pressure could be pump or pressure relief valve on the rail.
Starting but not revving does suggest low pressure on the rail.

Depends on where the low pressure fault said it was I guess.....

Low fuel rail pressure from a knackered HP injection pump on the back of the engine or feed pressure from the tank LP pump.....

As above, I would suggest getting the rail pressure checked.

Remanufactured HP pump would be anywhere from £250 onwards I'd say.

Get it on diagnostics - proper diagnostics - it should be able to tell you the rail pressure, or take it to a diesel specialist who maybe able to test rail pressure.

All ok
Crank sensor wasn't fully home after having a better look
Now runs fine drives fine
Only problem still got hot start issue lol
Got a brand new lp pump from LANDROVER so will fit that see if it solves
If not going to plugged in at specialist £100+ vat
I will update with codes and faults etc when I know thanks for the advice guys

Has anyone had parts from here

Hot start problems on the Freelander M47 is normally the cam sensor or less often, the fuel rail sensor (rail pressure code may be relevant here). I would think that the 6 pot version of the M47, will have the same problems.

An update
Fault codes. Are x9
13573 glow duration unit faulty
1028 exhaust gas recirculate actuator
5651 smooth running control
1152 cooler fan control open circuit
Rail pressure monitoring not ok
2550 rail pressure on engine start not ok
7728 pressure sensor boost press deviation
Abs front speed sensor open circuit
90 temporary esp control passive switching occurred

That's the results anu advice or tough idea of cost

It all seems to point to Fuel Pressure issues...

It will throw rough running faults because the engine was being starved and not running correctly - so I would say they could be spurious faults in sympathy. Did you clear out the fault memory and then drive it and see what pops back up again? As these could be old - now corrected - faults.
