Couple of questions

Hi fellas I've just brought myself a p reg 300tdi 5 door, my questions are.

1 what mark is it 1 or 2

2 when the heaters are on hot it blows cold on drivers side but hot on pass side?

3 when cold it smokes like a right good one,it has the egr removed and the cat removed so could that be why?

Any help would be received greatly.

Sorry it's a discovery

1) Its a D1 late version. Early ones had 200tdi engines
2)You have twin heater controls, one for drivers side and one for passenger side. Check the settings
3) Its a 300tdi Disco

When you turn the control does it feel like its connected? check if its working by getting some one to turn the control and peek in through the access panel to fuse box to see if its moving, it may be on pas side cant remember but you should be able to see if its moving if not may need a new control panel / wire

The control knob may have been put on wrong -

pull it off and see if you have more 'turn' ...

Right i took the whole heater instrument cluster out and all the heater knobs are connect to their wires ie when you turn to hot and cold the wires go in and out so they are connected?
What do you think I should try next?..thanks

Check the flap is moving. on the Passenger side.

Yep flap connected, I'm just wondering where do them cables go? From the hot and cold knob?
