I will try to shorten a medium length story....

I have a company Car
Girlfriend has a VW Beetle
My company car comes up for renewal
Girlfriend says her Beetle is getting on and I could Part-Ex for a Diesel Range Rover and she can have my company car
I jump on the Internet find the RR I want...
I do a deal and Part-Ex her Beetle
YIPPEE I have another Range Rover after my previous was stolen...
My company car is up for renewal
Look at list of cars offered by the company - not great but hey its free
4 months later New company car arrives
Girlfriend not happy with the new company car
Decide to take the plunge and purchase a 2 year old Fiat 500 for Girlfriend
Girlfriend is over the moon with a car more suited to her and fits better in the garage etc....
I am now the best boyfriend in the world ever....
Finances mean I will have to drive the company car to work everyday instead of my beloved Range Rover
Range Rover will now become an Evening and Weekend play thing

My question is this....

What would you chaps recommend to do when leaving the car for upto 5-6 days without driving it??

EAS to Access?
Disconnect Battery (it does have newer RF Rec. fitted)?
Lock or Superlock (what happens if battery is flat in superlock mode??)?

Any problems that can be come across when leaving a vehicle with this kind of perpensity to breakdown??

EAS at Normal (assuming no leaks)
Solar trickle charger if outside, electric if in a garage, don't want to be putting in the EKA every time you go for a spin.
Lock, not super lock. P38 will throw a hissy fit for being left on its own so why complicate matters!!
That's what I'd do anyway.

Leaving it for 5 or 6 days shouldn't cause any problems at all UNLESS there are faults with it. If the battery is good and the BECM isn't woken up it should be OK.
When the cars were new they could be left for long periods.

This is all very true but as we know our P38's are far from the first flush of youth. Have a mate who has fitted the latest Receiver and says he still suffers from battery drain when left for a week. Ours is a daily user so we've never fitted the latest version so couldn't comment, but he insists the drain could not be from anything else. How conclusive his tests have been I've no idea.

Leave the EAS at normal height. Since I put a decent battery (135AH 1000CCA) on mine I can leave it for 3 weeks with no problem. Assuming no electrical gremlins a week should be no problem as long as it's not just short stop start runs when you do use it. Otherwise as said, a solar trickle charger will keep it ready for action

Disconnecting the battery can cause all sorts of problems and I would never superlock, it's a feature I would like to disable.

I have twice loaded mine into a container and had it shipped between UK and S Africa and each time it has simply started and been driven away..The one trip took six weeks and the second 4 weeks.
The battery was left connected each time.
The EAS was on the bump stops each time and took less than 5 minutes to fill the tank and raise the suspension to normal height.
At present I use it approx every three weeks and have no issues with starting or EAS.

I never superlock it!

Totally agree with Datatek, my P39 2.5 DT has sat for up to 4 weeks without problems, I have often considered fitting an Anderson Plug wired to the battery for charging/starting a dead vehicle.

Mine sometimes doesn't move for a week to ten days. Never had a battery issue and my new Arnott bags stay up.

I totally agree with not superlocking it, that scares me.

Left mine on driveway for 2.5 weeks over xmas and it started up first time on my return! it had dropped a wee bit but was back up to normal height in 5 secs

. I think as long as you have a decent battery and the RF upgrade you should be ok.

I had superlocked mine ... might avoid that in the future

Looks like the consensus is to leave it all alone and not Superlock...

I like the idea of an external charging point....will have to bug our Sparks dept. and see if they have the required heavy duty plugs and cables....

sorry to high jack your thread but my P38 will sit out all week doing nothing so I quite like to idea of a solar trickle charger.
Any recommendation or personal experiences greatly received,
