As per the title really, I currently have a Freelander Sport but looking to buy a Defender to do some more off road and also in the process of moving out into the sticks so need something a little more robust when the weather turns nasty.

I would like to buy a base 90 and build it up to my desired spec, looking at an '02 TD5 as I understand they were slightly revised around then.

It won't be used everyday but will need to be capable of family chores now and again and with that in mind it brings me toy question -

After a lot of googling it seems the rear seat issue is quite discussed but I haven't quite found the answers I need. I would like to fit 2 folding forward facing seats with belts. I have seen these and not sure if they are Exmoor Trim items or otherwise -

If someone could identify them for me I qould be grateful.

Also need to know if it needs some form of inspection once rear seats are fitted for official approval?

In terms of fitting them, is it very complicated or suitable for the keen DIYer?

Thanks in advance, I have searched before anoyone suggests it.

Cheers

Si

Thanks Daz, the pics look great! The seats I posted appear slightly different from the Exmoor items so I wonder where they can from?

Yours look great and I see you got the seat belts in to - was it much work?

I can't say how much work was involved as they were fitted when i bought it from lannyman90 on here - you could drop him a pm

A fair few have fitted them - think seat belts give more hassle to fit than the seats themselves

Fitting decent plates to bolt through (the panels aren't strong enough on their own) is the key

I believe in the first picture are the original ones from Land Rover.
I fitted one from exmoore, its a easy job and the seats are ok. For the seatbelts you have to place a bracket at the top corner.

To be honest does original are better made and in my opinion more comfortable but they are here in holland even used to expensive for me. :)
