Compression Tester?

Hello,

Does anybody have a compression tester with an adapter that will fit a 200tdi glow plug hole that I can borrow please? I am finding it hard to get hold of one or find a garage / specialist locally who has one.

I'd send it back to you via Royal mail recorded or the likes

How exactly does a compression tester work in comparison to a leakage tester? I understand the general principle but is it just a matter of solenoid feed off, glow plugs out, compression tester in and then turn engine over for ten seconds, taking the highest reading for each cylinder? What difference does a wet / dry test make?

compression tester fit each cylinder get someone to crank engine till highest pressure recoded x 4 then pour a little oil down bore and try again,oil seals rings ,leakage tester you pressurise cylinders and watch how long pressure takes to decrease,obviously valves need to be closed per cylinder tested,
