clutch problem

Can anybody tell my why my clutch on my freelander 1 works fine 1 day and the other slipping odd times need to find out the problem asap cause doing my tree in lol any replys with the answer thanks in advance

Or it’s getting some oil on it from somewhere, sadly it’s the same diagnosis, time to replace it.

Cheers pal i can get the parts for £140 labour £120 to fit i think that a fair price dont you??

Probably worn out, but wonder the the release arm is siezing up as it passes through the bell housing - which is a common fault - and not allowing it to return fully?

A couple of drops of oil on it might help.

£120 to fit a clutch sounds way to cheap. It's a 5 hour job, so there'll be charging just over £20 per hour. I'd budget on 3 times that labour quote.
