hi again

backing the caravan in the other week at dads out or storage he noticed a patch of oil on drive after i left?

i found a greasy cluth peddel and low fluid in clutch res

200tdi 90 had been in the week before for mot and fluid check at my usuall landrover indedent been using them for mots for past 4 years they good .. passed no prob needed back brakes adjusting

so got them to swap master cyl , but still got a 20-30mm flappy clutch peddel before it hits resistence and opens clutch ,

they now there 200& 300tdis no prob with them , but the clutch peddel has always been solid before with no play , they have adjusted peddle back nut as far as they dear, but still flappy clutch peddel of 20 -30mm or one inch not good on conpooters

do ya think its the slave cyl thingy ???

chheerss its fridays night and im towing to glasto with 2 kids and a 22ft caravan next in 8 days she always tows well but the clutch is different, there was never no play..

but clutch is not like it was before it had not flappy peddel

is it the slave cylinder??

clutch does not slipp at all can puull away in second no problem even with caravan on ???

anyway time for another can of 1664.

i carnt spell .....

thanks for the help.

remove 6 x screw of top of pedal box adjust rod with 13 mm combination spanner with slot cut in ring end to go over rod, sometimes if you over adjust you can stop fluid returning to res eventually making clutch slip after repeated operations of pedal ,but your s maybe at other end

they bled it at garage , we goin to try it for a few days .. he adjusted the nut as far as he dare so not to pop the bend the clutch fork thingy..

but there was never any play before?
