How do you guys clean underneath your Freelander? Obviously the low ground clearance makes it a tad more difficult than it would be to give a Defender a good clean.

Sure, bending down on the ground is an option but imo it's still tricky to get the pressure washer in all the nooks and crannies.

I'm thinking about buying an exhaust jack to help me do the job, but I dunno whether it's ideal. They seem fragile.

I was thinking of driving on two of these on one side of the car, a couple of kneepads will be included in the idea of course, and then powerwash it. Must be feasable.

i do mine on a regular basis, with just the hose pipe & nozzle,i think using a jet wash etc. at close range is all well and good, but if youve got any loose rust, cavity wax etc. underneath, its gonna strip that right off, exposing everything to the salt twice as much as before, unless you put something back on it of course

ive gradually over the months been hammerite and "spray" undersealin mine:D

I use jetwash and under body lance. How often depends on use but at least once a month.

if your rub the underneath with plenty of petrol, the take a naked flame and put that under there as well. you wont have anymore problems with dirt
