On the certificate of registration, there is my wifes name. She only has a provisional driving license. Will there be a problem to insure the Landy?
And I'd like to be put as second driver for classic insurance. Is that even possible?
Regards

The reg cert is only the registered keeper , so not necessarily the owner !!
The insurance can only be taken out by the owner IIRC HTSH

Sorry mate but only acronym I've found for HTSH was "Human Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone"
So didn't quite get what you said :)

...so simple

I guess in our case, my wife would be the owner and registered keeper.
Now, main question is, would they insure this classic on her provisional license with me, being a second driver.

Problem is, sometimes, if you try it, and they refuse it, they put some sort of black mark on your name, and insurance companies go mental since that point.

I am not sure it is correct that insurance can only be taken out by the owner. A car on HP or lease is insured by the keeper/user, whose name appears on the registration document, but they are not the owner. The lease company is until all is paid.

Put it in comparethemeercat or one of the others. Classic insurance came up as an option when I did it a few days ago.

As its only a quote they wont have refused it, just refused to quote on it, not the same thing.
