Unless they move the goalposts then yesSo will my 1985 110 be Mot and tax exempt in 2025 then?
I thought it was just mot exempt then and the vehicle had to be pre 1970 or summit.

That's what I read, remember now.For tax exemption its a NO, according to the info copied from the GOV.UK site
You can apply to stop paying for vehicle tax from 1 April 2020 if your vehicle was built before 1 January 1980. You must tax your vehicle even if you do not have to pay.
If you do not know when your vehicle was built, but it was first registered before 8 January 1980, you can still apply to stop paying vehicle tax.
Tax exemption isnt really the correct term, it still has to be taxed but once you register as historic vehicle at 40 years old then the fee is waived
The GOV.UK info is all over the place. That's what I read, remember now.
It is indeed as clear as mudThats what I believed. But now Its the terminology that is used for both MOT and Tax information, that has been place together. My 1976 car was on zero tax a year or so before the MOT exemption was introduced.
So exempt in the context of Tax its correct, as the owners of an Historic vehicle are exempt from its payment, and of course now its MOT
