Good morning,

I have a 1993 Classic with the 3.9 which has a single point LPG system fitted. It was really heavy on fuel, single figures to the gallon on petrol and LPG, so bad I was hardly using which was a shame as it actually ran smooth and a cracking vehicle.

A couple of weeks ago I borrowed an air flow meter and standard air box to replace the K&N that was fitted just to see if any improvement. At the same time I gave it a service.....oil, plugs, filters, leads, etc.

Since then it was reluctant to start, kept flooding and now it won't start at all and the plugs are soaking when I remove them. I have swapped the air flow meter and air box back but no change..

Has anyone any suggestions to help?

Thanks.....

Take a look at the Ignition Amp, Coil and Dizzy pick up and air gap...

My 3.9 only ever let me down once in its hard life with me (before some fecking bastids nicked it to steel riding gear, then burnt it out when they had finished with it :() that turned out to be the Ignition Amp on the side of the dizzy....

Sounds like the plugs aren't firing so check the above

Cheers for that. I actually think I have an Ignition Amplifier lying about from my previous Classic!!!

See how I get on....
