I'd been told that as my 130 DC/HCPU has a GVW of 3500kg it should be on a class VII MoT. J
ust spoken to VOSA. Very helpful. With 5 seats and 1.4 tons payload this can be either a car or a van depending on its use. If the vehicle were used to carry goods for trade then it would be a van. If the main (or sole) use is private and the stuff carried is for provate use then it is a car.
Vans with a GVW from 3000-3500kg are class VII; cars of any weight are class IV.

Yep had this conversation on a few forums usually with peeps who've been told there 110 is class 7. Also if it says dual purpose on the logbook it's class 4. what is also useful. (and this is why you want class 4) is the 60mph speed restriction on single A roads doesn't apply. But it does if it's class 7.
