Defender 130 mot class validity

Apologies if this has been covered but I havent found a conclusive answer so far.

I have a 130, stamped as 3500kg on the vehicle and 3499 on the v5, yet the most recent mot certificate shows this was a class 4 test not a class 7.

Would this mean that the mot is invalid and that the vehicle requires a retest?

According to vosa the class 4 is fine, although this contradicts what I have read online. If the rear windows were covered then it would be a class 7. Does anyone know any more about this, should I take what the individual vosa rep said as the truth in the matter as it seems to be a grey area?

not 100%. is it not to do with gvw and unladen weight?

<3.5 gvw and something like <2 unladen and it's a dual purpose class4?

i think they'll just go with whatever's flagged on their system for the reg.
