If you happened to see a Disco on the back of a truck on the A1 on Weds it was me. Torque converter gone I think.

Oh nasty, same happened to my 90 but mine is away being repaired at the mo.

Much too much of this thrashing about. Not me, anyway. I was doing 50 on cruise control through the roadworks and the box suddenly started to change up, as though I was going up a steep hill. I thought the turbo had died, but once I'd stopped and had a check round I found I had no drive to the wheels. It could be the transfer box, but the "park" feature still works, so I reckon it's teh torque converter. They are prone to fail, I'm told, and it had been getting a bit noisy. We'll have a look once Christmas is out of the way. Meantime, I'm driving the Astra .
