i as it happens had the hazzards fault on a audi A4 tdi avant a few years back and that was the body control module too. £300 part it was as well.. range rover ones are they still available ????
Not sure retail - but they can be found on the Bay, but they will need to be set up to your vehicle which will need some hefty diagnostic comouters to do....

They can be repaired, do a google search, and also a few members on here do/used to do that service...so a quick search on here will show something up.....

Not sureif Rick-the-pick does it or dougdotcom (cant rmember which) does BeCM programming.

Do you need to take the seat out to get the BeCM out think i will do as you guys say...

1, BeCM out pop it open see if i can see anything etc
2, Clean contacts and stuff refit,
3, check charge rate
4, then torch it :)

Battery with voltmeter first (do alternator aswell)
Then Fuseboard
Then BeCM as Saint said

Far easier with chair out, but ~I am sure it can be done with it in place just a bit more fiddly and annoying....

Also start your list with 'Disconnect Battery....'

Right, we've got a fighting chance, especially if you're married . . . . .

- disconnect battery
- remove driver's seat, undo all the bolts, tip it back slowly and disconnect any electrical connectors that you find attached to the seat
- find big black box with lots of wires going into it (BECM)
- take the lid off
- carefully and taking your time (lots of time, this could either save you or cost you a small fortune) dry out the interior with a gentle airline or the wife's hairdrier (told you you had to be married)
- re-fit all the electrics under the drivers seat
- re-connect the battery

It's worth a try, if only to prove the fault.

what am i looking for in the fuse box as i couldnt smell anything on the top side ie under the lid but on top of the fuses just smelt like plastic lol

You could try unplugging alarm under fuse box mine horn goes off and headlights on and indicators when plugged in fine when unplugged.
