hi my disco 1 has some issues to be fair, and ive found some holes in chassis and just like some advice on it please, theres couple bad parts and rest is smaller holes, im shore they could be repaired but will it be strong again and safe ?? is it worth doing etc ?? there is strong metal everywere to work with, she is a rusty landy tho, but would like to restore it so i no its rust free, whats to say i get another one and end up with similar issues even if not right away, least if i do this one it will be done !!

chassis can be done right enough ,making channel shape to go over top of chassis can reduce the amount needed to weld on the top where its difficult to get at ,if you think its quite poor another good chassis can be bought for £200 or less not forgetting to remove old chassis number

Nearly all original d1's will have some rust or had repairs if they already haven't had major work. It just depends how much you're willing to take on and how far you want to go. If its too much find someone who will take it on and try find a better one with less to do to start with! The good news is they're not complicated beasts and panels etc are fairly easy to come by or fabricate
