I read online that in my 2012 RR Sport I should be able to charge one phone through the armrest USB port and use another for phone for music. Has anyone been successful in doing this? It does not work for me.

Similar question for using one phone for phone calls and another phone for music.

I imagine it will have something to do with Bluetooth pairing.

When setting it up the first time I’d recommend plugging in the phone you want to charge first. Then going through the pairing process on the range rovers computer. That way if it recognises the usb phone first switching to Bluetooth overrides it as such. I know what I mean, just not how to explain it.

Alternatively there are USB chargers for mobiles that can only transfer power and not data. Not intentionally, just a lot of cheaper pound shop level cables often aren’t recognised for data transfer by the phone. At least the few I’ve got there have been like that.

That said I have never been in a RR sport. My landy doesn't even have a radio and my polo isn’t much better...

Thanks for the helpful response Trench Rat.
I'll give this a go on the weekend. Trust the USB setup will be somewhat the same in a LR and RR. The only difference between the two is one of these vehicles is used more for school pickups in urban areas and music videos.

Was that meant to be an absolutely hilarious response? Because, if not, that makes it even funnier.

Either way it has flown over your head.

Swish - also the sound of a beautiful 3 pointer. Not into posting pink smileys but if I was I’d post one in reply.

To me this is a forum to ask questions and reply with useful information. Seems everywhere you go there’s a board keyboard warrior.

Have a good evening.

Only keyboard warrior on this thread is yourself. Before bitching at me, you had a go at wammers. As you are now showing you have no sense of humour, it obviously was not meant to be hilarious , when you, boldly, made the sweeping statement, that the only difference between a LR and an RR, is that one is used for the school run. Being asked about it, obviously upset you. I would apologise for this, but I wouldn't mean it.
If you think your attitude will make life better for you, that's great but , you're not clever and you're not funny. So you had better be bloody gorgeous.
Now off you go and load your keyboard, with a magazine of 30 words, warrior.

Should never take it the wrong way, it's like a room full of people. Conversations in all corners and the people who pass by each and listen in, to either add a detail or poke a bit of fun but never too serious or viscous. I hope you sort your jiggery phone pokery out or at least, a bit of target practice...;)
