Angled socket won't help, it is the clearance between the aperture on the socket head not the depth clearance.

Will wait for my box spanners to arrive, they should be thin walled.

No, the Mk I works a treat, is as good as the FL1. Why design a FL2 if not really a need for it?? Used it last week when I put the car on these ramps in order to try to undo the undercarriage screws. In which I was successfull, have now greased them all and tightened them less than they were, next time I fancy an afternoon under the car will be much easier. Thinking of having a good look at the turbo, gearbox, (maybe the exterior temperature sensor to see whether I can put a switch in-between, remember????), EGR tube downend etc. Anyway, good times will hopefully roll on soon.

Its a crap design anyway, nearly every passenger, has asked me "whats that black box thing obstructing my leg room"

Got it new on January 9th 2001 and I think it has now some 62.000 kms. (kms, not even miles.... ), gives me room for many more years I believe. (If it depends of me I'd sign to keep/drive it for 20 more, or more, years...... )
