I've recently put 35" tyres on my Defender 110. I've found from greenlaning that my gear ratios have changed (no surprise there) and that my 1st gear Low box is equivalent of everyone else's 2nd.

I've also found the engine gets hotter more quickly and can often nearly overheat going up hills onroad.

One of the guys has said that the diff rings need changing to restore the ratios. Any recommendations where to go? Cost etc?

Thanks

The low ratio stuff shouldnt be that bothersome. Low first is rarely used anyway. As for the high ratio stuff, look at getting a 1.6:1 t-box

try ashcroft transmissions, they seem the be the people for all things land rover transmission based

What he said with those bigger tyres might want to just change ring and pinion gears. Ashcroft does a mighty fine HD set 195quid . Stock LR gears could explode if you give to much right foot, a few have blown there diffs doing this
you can keep your stock transfer case when changing ring and pinion sets
