Hi
I have a disco MK1 rear axile and wish to put it on the rear of my 90
which springs do I use and do I need to change the a frame ball assy
anyone done this before?
Regards Bryan

Just fit it.
It fits.

You might want to make sure the diff ratio is the same as the one you take off, just in case some smart-arse changed it long ago.

First time you take it out on the road make sure no-one is close behind when you stomp on the brake pedal - unless you want their insurance to buy you a new rear crossmember and back door.

The difference in stopping power is very significant, which just goes to prove that the old drum brakes didn't do much all those years.

I did this a few weeks ago and well worth the work.
No need to change the ball joint and the springs are identical but have different prt numbers but will fit if needed. Also a good time for tidying up on yer chassis too.

When I did mine (Discomania has it now) we changed the axle and fitted some new bushes, full stop.

We didn't go looking for difficulties - in case we found some!
