So, I'm buying a discovery trayback at the end of the month, and I have the option of putting it on a trailer each time I want to use it.

However, I would prefer to be able to use it on the road, and was wondering if any other young drivers with highly modified vehicles have had any success with insurance companies giving affordable quotes??

I'm nearly 19, and have managed to get affordable insurance on my dad's 110, but every insurer seems to be scared of all the modifications on the trayback, even thought they don't make it any faster. It will be kept in a barn, chained to the floor, and am only looking for 500 miles a year, but so far have found nothing, other than a 3 grand quote

Can anyone help?

sorry no one here sells insurance

try adrian flux and just ring them all up I remember having the same problem at 20 getting my R1 turbo insured in the end I bit the bullet and payed £1200 TPFT

Ollie,

If you go to our website and pop your details online requesting a quote, drop me a PM with our surname and postcode afterwards and I'll have a look at see what we can do. I can't promise anything, with Adrian Flux being a broker, our hands are somewhat tied when it comes to clients not fitting the requirements for the underwriters schemes, and your age and subsequent lisence length on a modified vehicle, it's a challenge to find insurance to say the least.

Regards,

Ed
