Centre Diff Lock

My transfer box has the required internals, just wondering if a 300TDI linkage and shifter is what i need to be able to lock/unlock the diff or is it the more expensive TD5 variant

IE are they different?

Sorry never stated its a 2000 TD5

D2 linkage uses cables. D1 is purely mechanical. Apparently they can be made to fit - but it will transmit more noise inside

Or do a bush CDL, length of bar attached to an armature on the spigot, drill hole in tunnel, poke bar through, fit knob to end of bar...

So what does it sound like ? because I've never noticed.

I've not heard 1 with TDI linkage, but I'd imagine you'd get a bit more transmission whine / vibration transmitted up to the transfer box gear lever.

As long as you keep the D1 tunnel insulation and fit that to the D2 also.

best to as tdi tunnel cover screws to gear box tin cover to seal it
