Hi there, My key fob wont open my drivers door by clicking the open button.
It will lock the whole car with no problems and set the alarm.
Now the guy I got the car from has told me that he let the battery go flat by leaving the lights on.
The key fob opens the passenger door, doth rear doors and the boot.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Strange indeed! It sounds as if the system is ignoring the first press of the button. Usually, that first press should open the drivers door only as an anti-hijack precaution (our 2013 Nissan Qashqai does the same). A second press of the button then opens the rest of the doors as you describe. Don't know if the electrickery can be somehow programmed to bypass that first press?
I might be reading too much into this!

When you press the button, can you hear the driver's door doing anything i.e the motor releasing the lock etc?

Diff.

Yes I can hear the click but the button stays down.

If I use the key to open all the doors without a problem

Confused

Good - something's trying to happen inside the door, so it's not quite dead! Unfortunately I haven't got an idea of how to fix it, - Haynes manual details how to remove the door lock, but is a little confusing at this time of night! Perhaps you can pull the door card off and have a look to see if anything has fallen off etc.

Diff.

An iffy unlocking servo/actuator in the drivers door lock maybe, if u search the Forum there's loads of threads on the easy fix of replacing the lock, there's one I seen on replacing the servo which are not LR specific so are available.
It's a common problem with D2 locks.
