ive just got a freelander and ive got a central locking issue when i press the key fob, it will only unlock the front passenger door, and the boot. rest of the doors remain locked. any ideas as to what the problem could be? and help would be appreciated.

Does you key open the driver's door okay? Either the remote control on the blink with a weak signal or the aerial for the locks are failing. Does the switch for locking and opening work okay inside?
if i use the key, i can unlock the drivers door. but the switch sounds like its unlocking the doors but it only does the boot and passengers front

As td4van said. If only some doors unlock then it's likely to be the door lock motors. This is a very common issue which is shared by the Rover 75 which uses similar door motors.

if it turns out to be the door motors at fault are the parts easy to get hold of? someone suggested it might be the CCU, behind the fuse box, but 3 out of the 4 things it controls are working ok.

Parts are easy to get hold of

eBay Rover 75 or Freelander door latch for the doors you need or look at Rimmer's website for part numbers and search that way

Sounds like door latches at fault rather then CCU
