A friend of mine's father has just bought a 53 plate L322 that has an issue with the front doors locking, or not. The central locking doesn;t work on the fob and neither front door will opperate the central locking from pushing the button inside on either door. The rest works fine, just the front doors. He has changed the BCU but with no joy. Any suggestions on what else he can try?
Cheers,
Andy.

Well, all the wiring checked where it leaves the A pillar into the door and it's all fine. There is no signal being sent to the actuators when the fob is used or the internal buttons which is why the BCU was changed but it didn;t help. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you used a multimeter to check for the lock signal to the doors - as this would quantify the BCU is issuing the Lock/Unlock signal to the doors, and if it is then the door locks and/or circuits need looking at...if it isn't giving the signal, the fault lies in the BCU or thye BCU isn't getting the lock/unlock message from the switches or fob (although for both not to be working I can only assume door lock issues or BCU issue)
