Central Locking has packed up

Hi I wonder if anyone can help. I have a Freelander 2 SD4 Tech which is just 19 days out of warranty. The central locking is failing to open the doors and I have had to get in through the boot. I can then open the doors from the inside. My car has a full LR service history and was bought from a main dealer at 9 months old it was one of their loan cars. Any suggestions, is this is a common problem, any chance the dealer would fix it for free do you think? Help please

When you say " I can then open the doors from the inside." what do you mean? how do you unlock them from the inside, door handles or the cabin door lock/unlock button.
Does it have KVM, how do you unlock the doors when locked?
