for example this way http://www.discoweb.org/cdl/index.htm , you need a proper lenght flexible wrench extension, watch the principle, forget about the one with u-joints

Or you could use 300Tdi bits - www.discovery2.co.uk / Disco 1 CDL into a Disco 2

Yer I bought a 300 tdi gearbox turret 20 pound goes straight on box but you have to cut center plate took it out last night was lots better took about 1 hour to do

Been out today and as I said it's the best mod I have done by far where I got stuck last week that was not a problem even with my plogh on if anyone in north west needs showing how to fit diff lock mod I don't mind showing

pre 2003 models engaging diff lock shuts traction control down unless you dont have switch connected

Yes if you don't disconnect the abs and tc light stays on I found that out lol

You can swap the SLABS ECU for a later one with the better logic. Got mine for £60 from a breaker, buts its a PITA to swap over as it hidden behind the glovebox and nestled in amongst the other ECUs

They only stay on if you restart the car with the cdl engaged.

Yes I found that out haha thinking about getting arb diff lockers next what do you think on them
