cb radio and antenna

I have a midland cb unit and the antenna connection is the same as thishttp://www.maplin.co.uk/p/uhf-plug-pl259-bw81c

and my antenna is a stinger one that just has the fine m6 thread, anyone know a better way of fitting it apart from 3 adaptors?

A bit more information about the aerial cable and the connectors on it might be of use here.

The socket which fits with the PL259 plug is usually known as the SO259 socket.
