went off roading a big group of us tday and i found out that a discovery 200tdi's rear trailing arm for the diff is absolutely rubbish as it now looks like this

and the this is the damage it did once bent, it bent one side more than the other

fortunately the local farmer had a 300tdi disco lying around which we cud take a new pair off and what a suprise the new ones were double the thickness so obviously landrover had identified the problem

we got them fitted on with alot of tugging and lifting and carried on the day looked alot worse at the time

then after 2 hours of larking about and fixing it she was ready to go again as if nothing had happened

thats cos the trailing arm was bent as george michael and so bad it was wedged into the bodywork not tremendous, really good bunch of guys came out and saved the day for me
