hi guy's, question, how can you tell if the hight sensor's are gubbed, car seem's to drop at one side have checked bags they seem to be ok, no visible leak's, i was wondering if the hight sensor is gone would that give me the same problems, how can i check them, cheer's pat.

take height sensor off, stick a resistance meter on and manually move it through its arc of rotation. the meter reading should change in a smooth fashion. if it jumps around or doesn't change its fooooooked. ;)

To check a height sensor, disconnect at least one arm from the car, disconnect the wiring, connect a multimeter across the sensor and move the leg through it's normal movement. You're looking for a nice steady change in resistance as you move the leg. They usually wear out where it spends most of it's time, at normal ride height.

To truly know what's happening, and to replace the sensor and then set the system up again with the new sensor, you need the EAS software and the connector lead to plug a computer into the car. There are a couple of guys on here making the leads and you can either download the software free or pay for a disk along with the lead.

Did you check the bags by using a soapy water spray or just a visual check?
Depending on the year, you can swap the sensors side to side which may prove the point if it's a sensor.
