Hi.

Has anyone got any experience of this tool iCarsoft LR II Automotive Diagnostic Tool.

I've seen a lot of talk of Hawkeye on this forum so anyone who as tried the iCarsoft tool could you tell me of your experience with it.

Kind regards

I have the icarsoft i930 which works ok for most systems, although it doesn't connect to the TCM for some reason.

Any idea if icarsoft i930 can view the injector values on td4, can't remember exactly how these are called I think cylinder 1 fuel trim or something.

yes .. the 'hawkeye' displays injector data / values for the td4 ..

have only briefly scrolled through that menu once
as engine were idling ..
i think there were 2 sets of named values for the cylinders
but i've no idea what the abbreviations mean ..
( one value were 'engine rough' )

main drawback about buying a hawkeye .. is that they're LR specific
( no idea about their 'pro' model .. except it cost much £mooolah£ )

which hawkeye exatly do you have?
hawkeye 'total'

i think it's like the previous ( less £ ) model ..
with them you'd need to 'unlock' it to deal with specific LR vehicles ..
the 'total' comes unlocked for all supported vehicle models ..

'how to use' instructions' are scant ..
but reading same for the prev. model gives an idea of how to use the 'total'
tbh. it's dead straight forward 'n easy to use .. i.e. the interface ..

i don't know if the prev. model still be available .. as new ..
but i think i saw one on one of the LR part supplier web page

I had the iCarsoft CR-Plus that does all makes and models of cars. It was crap as it was limited in the things you could do on it especially on diesel engines.
I sold it and bought a Foxwell NT-510 and then a Nanocom.
IMHO... Check out the Foxwell NT520 or newer NT530 for 125 quid or save up for a Nanocom.

re:
.. view the injector values on td4
re. the hawkeye ..
was looking at menus today ..
( for the fl1 td4 )
under the engine management menu .. be a sub menu named 'engine rough'
that shows half engine rpm data per cylinder ..
then under the fuel system menu .. be a sub menu that shows ..
a value in m.m. for each cylinder ..

am guessing both have something to do with the injectors ..
( just guessing .. i need to research those values to see what they mean )
